IRON LUNGS - SONAR LUNGS
Garments and wearable sculptures
January 2020 - June 2020

Coming to form through exploring human anatomy, using forms of medical imaging as tools. Focusing on building shapes in a sculptural way as a starting point, and not on construction of garments.

The first look is a shape exploration inspired by the fractal structure of lungs and their bronchi, translated into a wearable piece that takes this anatomy out of thebody.

The second look is a translation of the first look, where the silhouette is reimagined as a solid structure split into slices as to emulate the process of taking an ultrasound.
